Meta’s X platform competitor Threads launched on July 5 this year, the number of users grew rapidly to more than 100 million, but most of the users soon lost, Threads function is not enough is one of the reasons for the loss of users.
Meta now intends to continue the fight against X by introducing a “Hot Trends” feature for Threads, similar to what X has.
The update was accidentally leaked by a Threads employee over the weekend in a screenshot showing a numbered list of popular topics and how many “threads” are actively discussing each one.

However, the ranking of the “Hot Trends” feature is not necessarily in the order of “most popular to least popular”.
For example, Drake’s #1 hit “For All the Dogs” has 59.4K threads, while “Loki Season 2” has 91K threads and is ranked #4, so it’s unclear how the rankings are listed. It’s unclear how the rankings are listed.
Threads has taken another step towards becoming more competitive with the addition of “Hot Trends,” but it still faces multiple challenges on the X platform.
