Meta and LG are preparing high-end AR headset to rival Apple’s Vision Pro

The release of Apple Vision Pro forced its competitors to further develop AR headsets, including Meta. According to Korean media Maekyung, Meta has cooperated with LG to launch a high-end AR device in 2025, which will be priced lower than the $3,499 of the Vision Pro.

It is understood that Meta’s high-end AR device is named “Pro” and is expected to be “Quest 4 Pro”. Once mass production is confirmed, various parts from LG Group affiliates are expected to be installed – LG Electronics is responsible for mass production, with parts provided by LG Display, LG Innotek and LG Energy Solution.

Before the Quest 4 Pro goes on sale, Meta intends to target price-sensitive markets first, with a low-cost model priced under $200 set to be released in 2024, followed by the Quest 4 Pro in 2025.
