During the 2023 Chengdu Auto Show, Mercedes-Benz officially announced that it has started the construction of the first batch of super charging stations in China with a charging power of up to 480kW, the world’s first Mercedes-Benz super charging station The station will be settled in Chengdu and put into use in October this year.

In addition to Chengdu, the rest of the stations will also land in core new energy vehicle markets including Beijing and Shenzhen within this year. The first Mercedes-Benz Superchargers to be put into use will be located next to authorized Mercedes-Benz dealerships.
The official said that the charging power of the supercharging station is 480kW. Taking a station equipped with 4 charging piles as an example, the total power of a single station can be as high as 600kW, and it is equipped with intelligent power scheduling technology, which can realize the power balance between charging piles according to the charging needs of vehicles. Dynamic allocation reduces the waiting time for car owners to charge.
In addition, the charging station will also be open to other brands of vehicles at the same time, among which Mercedes-Benz customers can exclusively enjoy a series of rights and interests including charging pile reservations, plug-and-play charging, etc.
So far, Mercedes-Benz will provide Chinese customers with brand charging network (supercharge and fast charge), home smart charging wall box, one-stop interconnected public charging service, emergency roadside assistance and one-key power-up service And other charging service products.
It is noticed that Mercedes-Benz continues to expand its lineup of new energy products. The pure electric EQS, pure electric EQE, EQS pure electric SUV, and the new EQE pure electric SUV were unveiled at the auto show. In addition, at the 2023 Chengdu Auto Show, the new Mercedes-AMG SL 63 4MATIC + was launched at a price of 1.9998 million RMB.
