The Mercedes-Benz Vision One-Eleven concept car is currently unveiled at the 2023 Munich Auto Show. It is said that this new high-performance concept sports car is inspired by the Mercedes-Benz C111 experimental car, “integrated with multiple retro and modern elements”. The Mercedes-Benz official website also introduced the model at the same time.
In terms of power, the car is equipped with an axial flux motor developed by the British electric company YASA, a subsidiary of Mercedes-Benz. The magnetic field brings more efficient power performance.
After inquiry, the Mercedes-Benz C111 first appeared at the 1969 Frankfurt Motor Show in Germany. It used a Wankel rotary engine instead of a traditional piston engine. The car was designed with a wedge-shaped body, gull-wing doors and a mid-engine, and uses an orange-black style sports paint design. To this day, quite a few enthusiasts still praise this model.

The Mercedes-Benz Vision One-Eleven concept car continues the design elements of the C111 concept car, but compared with the original C111, the car’s curves are softer, with a bow-shaped body as the dominant design element, and the body height is 1170 mm. The original prototype fog light design was transformed into a 3D pixel-style display that can display a variety of interactive patterns.
In terms of paint, the Vision One-Eleven concept car also pays tribute to the orange-black style paint of the C111, but the color is softer.

In the interior part, the Vision One-Eleven concept car has a very visual sense of the vehicle in the game “Cyberpunk 2077”. Mercedes-Benz officially claims that the cockpit is designed as a “VIP lounge”.

It is equipped with a slender pixel windmill screen to display core information such as vehicle speed. Mercedes-Benz officially calls this design “retro-futuristic 8-bit pixel style”. Mercedes-Benz also cooperates with Magic Leap. Wearing Magic Leap 2 AR glasses will also display AR maps, interactive buttons, virtual dashboards and other content in the car in real-time.
