Mercedes-Benz releases the latest generation MBUX in-vehicle system at 2024 CES

Recently, Mercedes-Benz announced that during the 2024 CES (International Consumer Electronics Show), the company will demonstrate the “next important step” in realizing its vision.

According to reports, Mercedes-Benz will release the latest generation of MBUX human-computer interaction system during the 2024 CES. It uses the Unity high-resolution game engine and is claimed to bring the “Hey Mercedes” voice assistant into a new visual dimension. It runs on the researched MB.OS vehicle operating system. At the same time, Mercedes-Benz will showcase a number of innovations in the digital field, including providing functions similar to human-computer interaction.

Kallenius, chairman and CEO of Germany’s Mercedes-Benz Group AG, said that Mercedes-Benz is using AI to provide “human-like” interactions through the MBUX virtual assistant, thereby reshaping the digital experience of the occupants, which will be connected with the user’s driving experience. The synchronized “empathy” between style and emotion will define what “digital luxury” will look like in the future.

“CLA-class (parameters | inquiry) concept car”

At the same time, Mercedes-Benz will also display the CLA-Class concept car and the prototype of the electric G-Class SUV (previously known as EQG) for the first time in North America during the 2024 CES. In addition, Mercedes-Benz’s exhibition lineup also includes “exciting” developments in the field of automotive, as well as first-of-its-kind partnerships.

“CLA-class concept car”

It is worth noting that at the 2023 Munich Auto Show, Mercedes-Benz has released a new CLA-class concept car. The new car will preview the new design style of future Mercedes-Benz entry-level models. Officials have previously stated that its mass-produced model will be launched in 2024, when it will also become the first model built on the MMA architecture.

In June this year, Mercedes-Benz announced that U.S. car owners can use the ChatGPT chatbot in some luxury models. The company said that ChatGPT is compatible with approximately 900,000 cars equipped with the MBUX intelligent human-computer interaction system. Car owners can choose to join the test program through the Mercedes app or voice command and download the ChatGPT function wirelessly.
