Mercedes-Benz’s remote services, remote engine start and other features require additional payment to activate, 498 CNY a year. Now Mercedes-Benz is taking this a step further by offering North American customers a performance “unlock” service that will give you access to the full performance potential of the EQ line of electric cars for an additional $1,200 per year (including taxes).
Simply put, this “acceleration boost” subscription service can further release the maximum horsepower and torque performance of your car, while also improving the overall vehicle performance.
It is said that after this subscription service is turned on, different models of the EQ series can get 0.8-1.0 seconds of assistance in terms of acceleration from 100 kilometers (0-60 miles), and the overall characteristics of the electric motor will also change. For example, you can choose ” Dynamic Driving Mode” to unlock additional performance.
