Mercedes-AMG reveals an EV prototype that is everything but simple

More automobile manufacturing companies are switching to the electric trend, and Mercedes-AMG wants in on all the fun. The German company for quite a while hasn’t made any big announcement about launching a pure electric car until its EQ series hit the market. The company’s promotion of this line involved showing off the benefits of driving an EV as against a regular diesel vehicle.

Mercedes now says it’s time to bring the high-performance AMG vehicles into the all-electric fold. For years now, the AMG has shown Mercedes strength in the automobile industry. The German automobile factory has just shown off its prototype or vision of an all-electric, future Mercedes-AMG. This car isn’t in production and might not go into large-scale production since it is a concept car. It aims at getting the public’s mindset on the company’s vision of a high-performance electric Mercedes-AMG.

Mercedes-AMG EV concept

Images of this car from Mercedes’s official website show a design that doesn’t want to go unnoticed. This is a shouty and futuristic car design that might appeal to the younger generation. The flush finish of this vehicle might be what comes to your mind when you think of an electric vehicle, as it stands nowhere close to regular vehicle designs.

Surprisingly, there is only one windscreen on this car, which is at the front. Still, on the issue of glasses, the Mercedes-AMG has no glass side mirror, taking its place is a protruding bar. Possibly, there will be camera sensors across areas that usually aid visibility.

We can as well notice the headlights that take the Mercedes logo’s three line design. As with most EVs, there is no grill in the front of the car due to the lack of a combustion engine and large heat dissipation fans. The Vision AMG as it is called isn’t a coupe but a saloon (with front and rear doors).

The design seen on this car is very futuristic, and Mercedes plans to move its AMG series into the all-electric industry come 2025. Is this the design that the coming electric Mercedes-AMG will adopt? We can’t tell, but we do know that an electric future for the high-performance Mercedes-AMG line is certain.
