Five years ago Mercedes-AMG in Frankfurt Motor Show released the Project One concept car, In June 2022 the production version of the car was unveiled, named AMG ONE, now equipped with an F1 engine New North’s fastest production car finally began delivery.
The AMG ONE is currently the fastest production car on the Nürburgring, Hockenheim and Red Bull Ring, with only 275 units produced.
It is not yet known who the first owner will be, but F1 drivers Lewis Hamilton, Nico Rosberg and David Coulthard are among those who have already bought the car. In addition, the first users include real estate tycoon Manny Khoshbin, actor Mark Wahlberg and tennis star Ion Țiriac.
The AMG ONE is equipped with a Formula 1-based hybrid powertrain with a 1.6-liter V6 turbocharged engine and four electric motors for a total of 782 kW (1063 hp) from the motorsport specialists at Mercedes-AMG Performance Powertrain in Brixworth (England), who are also responsible for the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 race cars, who are also responsible for developing and producing the power units. The complete car production will be produced in the UK. For this purpose, AMG has set up a dedicated production line in cooperation with manufacturing partner Multimatic.
The Mercedes-AMG ONE can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds, 200 km/h in 7.0 seconds and 300 km/h in 15.6 seconds. Up to 352 km/h. In pure electric mode, it can travel 18.1 km on a single charge.
The Mercedes-AMG ONE is also priced at a hefty €2.75 million (currently about RMB 19,993,000).
