Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reported in the latest “Power On” newsletter that Apple plans to launch a new iPad around March 2024.
Mark Gurman explained that the new Apple Pencil is equipped with a USB-C port, which is to match the iPad that will be updated next spring. He also added that Apple has been developing the 11th-generation iPad, seventh-generation iPad mini, and sixth-generation iPad Air for some time.
Apple is likely to release the three new iPads mentioned above in March, and a next-generation iPad Pro is also possible, but only a few “minor” iPad updates appear to be confirmed for next spring.
It is noted that Mark Gurman also said that he expects the first-generation Apple Pencil to be discontinued along with the ninth-generation iPad, because by then Apple will no longer sell any new iPads with a Lightning interface. However, this change won’t happen “any time soon.”
