Apple launched macOS Venture, but the notification problem has not been properly solved since Beta 1 last July.
According to an article published by 9to5Mac, the notification system has been plagued with problems since Apple launched the first Beta version of macOS Venture.
Apple did improve the notification system in subsequent Beta updates, but there are still a lot of problems. Apple has now suspended improvements to the notification system, which has led to problems for users using macOS notifications.
Apple officially released macOS Ventura 13.2 last month, but notifications from Apple’s official and third-party apps are still unstable.

- App notifications do not beep correctly
- The app that requested the notification to be sent was forced to quit
- Notifications appear with a delay of more than 20 minutes
The most annoying of these issues is that notifications don’t show up at all. According to editors at 9to5Mac, almost all apps, including Messages, Slack, Mail, and Twitter, are experiencing this problem.
I’m not the only one experiencing these issues, other 9to5Mac employees are experiencing the same thing. On Reddit, macOS users often complain about notification issues, from the Calendar app to the Weather app and more. Another common problem seems to be that notifications show a “not allowed” symbol on the app icon.
