Linux can play with RGB lighting effects, OpenRGB 0.8 major update released

OpenRGB is an open source, cross-vendor and cross-platform software for controlling RGB lighting effects on GPUs, motherboards, keyboards and other lighting peripherals.

Since vendors have not paid much attention to the Linux platform, there is a lack of corresponding RGB lighting management software. OpenRGB takes this point of view and provides open source RGB lighting management system on Windows and Linux platforms.

OpenRGB version 0.8 adds many newly listed consumer hardware, including ASUS, MSI, EVGA, Palit and Colorful graphics cards that support RGB lighting effects, and supports Razer, Logitech, MSI Mystic Light controllers, some Acer monitors and other devices.

OpenRGB 0.8 also has improvements to its user interface, the ability to automatically generate udev rules, bug fixes, and numerous other improvements.
