With the release of Xpeng X9 and Li MEGA, it seems that only NIO is left without MPV models.
At NIO media face-to-face event, NIO Chairman Li Bin revealed that the MPV project has been approved internally, but it will not be so fast. It is better to let everyone take a roll first. According to reports, this MPV model will use the NIO NT3 platform.
In October this year, Automotive Pixel broke the news that the products of the NIO brand’s next-generation platform NT3.0 are currently in the prototype verification (VB) stage and are expected to start trial assembly (TT stage) in December this year. According to previous industry revelations, the first product of the NT3.0 platform is the first model of the new brand Alps, followed by NIO.
We have not found much breaking information about the NT3.0 platform, but there have been rumors that NIO’s new generation platform models will adopt 800V or even 900V high-voltage architecture and bring a new generation of battery swap technology.
In addition, the new platform models are expected to upgrade and optimize intelligent driving hardware, cockpit configuration and other areas, and will further enhance the intelligence of the vehicle.
