LG shut down its phone business last year and officially promised to continue rolling out Android OS updates for supported models, such as the last models – LG Velvet and LG Wing.
On March 15 this year, the LG Velvet phone received an Android 12 update in South Korea. And according to LG’s official post, the company will start rolling out Android 13 to the LG Velvet in the first quarter of 2023. In addition, LG Wing is also included in this New Year’s program, thus completing the three major versions of the update.
However, LG officials did not mention the LG V60, which we expect will receive an Android 13 update at some point.
The LG Wing and LG Velvet are phones that will be released in 2020, and LG officials plan to roll out Android 13 updates for both phones.
LG Wing uses two screens in combination. The main screen is a 6.8-inch 2460 x 1080 OLED screen, and the secondary screen is a 3.9-inch 1240 x 1080 OLED screen. The rear 64MP (f / 1.8) main camera + 13MP ( f / 1.9 117° FOV) ultra-wide-angle lens + 12MP (f / 2.2 120°) ultra-wide-angle lens, front 32MP lens, built-in 4000 mAh battery, IP54 waterproof and dustproof, under-screen fingerprint recognition, etc.
LG Velvet will use a 6.8-inch FHD + screen, equipped with Snapdragon 765G chipset, and a battery capacity of 4300 mAh; the rear triple camera consists of a 48-megapixel main camera + 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle + 5-megapixel depth sensor Composition, the front camera is 16 million pixels; it supports fingerprints under the screen and IP 68 dustproof and waterproof. The Korean version has colors such as Aurora White, Aurora Green, Aurora Gray and Phantom Sunset.
