LG 27/45-inch 240Hz UltraGear OLED monitor on sale in China: 9,999/14,999 RMB

At the CES 2023 show held earlier this month, LG launched two UltraGear OLED gaming monitors of 27/45 inches, starting at $999 overseas.

Both sizes offer a 240Hz refresh rate, a big improvement over the 144Hz of last year’s UltraGear monitor, which is currently the highest refresh rate available for OLED monitors.

Now, the two monitors are available in China at Jingdong Mall for 9,999/14,999 RMB respectively, with the first sale period from January 18 to January 22.

In addition to featuring the highest refresh rates for OLED displays, both LG UltraGear OLED displays promise an ultra-fast response time of just 0.3ms. In addition, they both support AMD FreeSync Premium and Nvidia G-Sync, outputting up to 98.5% of the DCI-P3 color gamut.

The following is a brief summary of the parameters.

The 27-inch monitor features a 26.5-inch OLED panel with a quad narrow-edge design, QHD (2560 x 1440) resolution, 240Hz refresh rate, 0.03ms GtG response time, 10bit color depth, 1500000:1 contrast ratio, 98.5% DCI-P3 color gamut, typical brightness of 200cd/m², and support for HDR10 and AGLR anti-glare technology.

This monitor features HDMI 2.1 (supportsWQHD@240Hz), DP, and USB 3.0 interfaces, and supports DTS:X 4-pole headphones. Officially, the monitor is the world’s first 240Hz OLED gaming monitor, combining the image quality of LG’s OLED series monitors with the refresh rate of LG’s UltraGear series monitors.

It is also compatible with NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible and AMD FreeSync Premium adaptive refresh rates and comes with an UltraGear remote control to adjust monitor parameters, sound and more.

The 45-inch display has basically the same parameters, but is a curved screen with 800R curvature, WQHD (3440×1440) resolution, 240Hz refresh rate, support for up to 2 PBP and PIP, and the ability to display two inputs on one screen at the same time.
