The annual trade event show CES is just around the corner and the Lenovo Smart Tab M9 is preparing to make an entrance. This is a budget-friendly tablet that will appeal to children and students thanks to its compact screen and software abilities. Currently, this tablet is not available for sale, but Lenovo has made information on its specifications and design available.
Starting with its screen size, the new Lenovo budget tablet comes with a 9-inch high-definition display. The tablet also measures 7.99mm in thickness, making it slim and great for one-hand usage. Also, the dual-tone design of this tablet according to Lenovo will give users a “comfortable in-hand experience.” The dual-tone design is not new with Lenovo’s tablets at different price points.

Turning to its performance, the new Lenovo Smart Tab M9 will launch with the MediaTek Helio G80 SoC. Its memory and storage capacity is not available, but we expect it to launch with 4GB of memory and up to 126GB of storage. On the rear, this tablet will use a single 8MP camera and on the front, it’ll use a 2MP selfie camera. The tablet also comes with Netflix HD support and Dolby Atmos spatial audio support.
For its software capability, this tablet will run on the Android 12 operating system with some software adjustments. It will also come with a long-lasting battery that Lenovo promises to last 13 hours on a single charge. Coming bundled with the Lenovo Smart Tab M9 will be a clear case and a folio case with a kickstand for easy usage. The retail price of this tablet will start under $200 and will be available for purchase after its launch at CES 2023.
