Leica Q3 camera will be released on May 26, using the same 60-megapixel image sensor as the M11

LeicaRumors said that the new Leica Q3 camera will be released on May 26th, using extremely advanced phase focusing technology. Of course, this model is relatively more expensive than the current Q2 at $5,795.

It is said that this camera will be equipped with the same 60-megapixel image sensor as the Leica M11, and the same processor as the Q2. The body, lens, and anti-shake design may support 8K video recording. High MP EVF, built-in SSD storage space.

Additionally, the camera is expected to feature improved AF assist illumination (focus illumination), a phase detection autofocus mechanism, have a finish similar to the M11 Monochrom, and feature the same Leica BP-SCL4 Li-Ion battery as the Q2, but with less power/mAh Higher, it also supports USB-C charging and non-contact charging system (similar to the charging method of an electric toothbrush), and the matching new handle will also support wireless charging.

Some time ago, it was also reported that the Leica M11 black and white version will be released in the summer of 2023, while the Leica SL3 will be released later in 2023 or in 2024.

For reference, the Leica Q2 is a full-frame portable digital camera with a 47.3-megapixel sensor that supports 4K video recording and was released in 2019; the Leica M11 is a rangefinder digital camera that can shoot up to 60-megapixel Photos can be output in 14-bit RAW format; Leica SL2 is a full-frame mirrorless camera equipped with a 47.3-megapixel sensor, uses an L mount, and supports five-axis image stabilization.
