Leapmotor T03/C10/C01/C11 was launched yesterday, with official guide prices starting from 49,900 RMB/128,800 RMB/136,800 RMB/148,800 RMB.
In the media interview after the new car launch, Leapmotor executives revealed that the Leapmotor C16 is expected to be released at the Beijing Auto Show in April this year, and will be launched and delivered in mid-2024. This car will be Leapmotor’s first model equipped with 800V fast charging.
Zhu Jiangming, chairman, founder and CEO of Leapmotor, said that Leapmotor and BYD are not on the same track. Leopmotor believes that the extended-range model has more advantages. A plug-in hybrid with low battery life is neither economical nor good in experience, let alone being intelligent. Therefore, Leapmotor is learning from the Li Auto, and learning from the Li L7.

In November last year, several car bloggers posted a picture of the Leapmotor C16 on Weibo. The new car has a “huge” silhouette and is expected to be positioned as a full-size SUV. Its side shape reveals a hardcore atmosphere without too many complicated lines as embellishments. At the rear of the car, the car uses a through-type taillight set, and the “C16” car name can be vaguely seen in the tail mark in the lower right corner.
Leapmotor has revealed that the Leapmotor C16 will be launched simultaneously as a pure electric and extended-range model, developed based on an 800V high-voltage platform and supporting fast charging.
At present, the official has not announced the specific configuration information of this new car.
