Changan Mazda recently released a preview image of a new sedan with the text “COMING SOON”. Now, the official has released the trailer again.
From the picture, this new car adopts a through-type taillight design, and the internal light sources of the light group adopt a dot matrix arrangement design. In addition, the new car will be equipped with a small-sized rear spoiler, and the Mazda LOGO is set between the middle and lower taillights.
Previous reports stated that Changan Mazda’s new car may be named “MAZDA EZ-6” and will make its debut during the Beijing Auto Show this month. The car is expected to be a pure electric sedan jointly developed by Mazda and Changan. It is internally code-named J90A and is built on a pure electric platform. Mazda is responsible for the exterior design and chassis tuning.
It is noticed that in February this year, Mazda Motor Co., Ltd. had applied for two trademarks “MAZDA EZ-60” and “MAZDA EZ-6” in China. It can be inferred from the literal meaning of these two names that EZ-6 Or the EZ-60 is most likely to be prepared for the future electrified successor of the “Ma 6”.
According to the official previous plan, Changan Mazda will launch two locally developed and produced new energy models by the end of 2024 and 2025. The power systems include pure electric mode and plug-in hybrid mode.
