Kunlun Wanwei group released an announcement, recently, Kunlun Wanwei’s holding subsidiary Tiangong Technology and global meta-universe leader Meta signed an agreement on XR device product development matters.
According to the announcement, Tiangong Technology is responsible for the development of StarMaker VR versions suitable for use on Meta Quest 2 and its iterations of the device, and Meta will evaluate and make business cooperation incentive payments to Tiangong Technology in accordance with the delivery of development progress milestones.
StarMaker is a karaoke app that claims to be the world’s largest social entertainment platform for music, with more than 60 million loyal users. the VR version is currently available on the Oculus Store and Steam Store.
In the second half of 2021, Kunlun Wawei started to build “the world’s first VR K-singing social platform”, and in November 2022, StarMaker VR successfully joined the Oculus developer support program.
