On October 1, 2021, China began to implement the “Certain Provisions on Automotive Data Security Management (for Trial Implementation)” (hereinafter referred to as the “Provisions”). According to the relevant regulations of the Provisions, the “default non-collection principle, unless set by the driver, each time when driving the default set to not collect the state” “to ensure the safety of driving needs, the consent of the individual to collect personal information outside the car and to provide outside the car, should be anonymized, including the deletion of personal information that can identify a natural person. Including the deletion of the screen containing a natural person can be identified, or partial contouring of the face information in the screen, etc.”.
