The artist formerly known as Kanye West is back on Twitter. The artist, who changed his name to Ye last year, posted two tweets on Sunday, his first on the platform since Nov. 4.” Test test test, see if my Twitter is unblocked,” Ye tweeted to his 32 million followers on Sunday.

Musk also sent well-wishes and admonitions to the returning Ye, though said the decision to unblock his account was not his to make

Ye returned to the platform after Elon Musk reinstated accounts deleted by the likes of Jordan Peterson and former President Donald Trump, who had his account blocked in October for anti-Semitic comments.

In October, Ye was locked off Twitter for saying on Twitter that he was going to bed, but when he woke up, he would “make death threats against Jews. Twitter did not delete the rapper’s account, but locked the rapper’s account and removed the anti-Semitic tweets.

“The account was locked for violating Twitter policy,” a company spokesperson said at the time.

Ye’s Twitter access was restored days after Elon Musk bought the company for $44 billion, although Musk said the decision was not his to make.

After being locked out of Twitter, Instagram and Facebook for a week, Ye agreed to acquire the right-wing leaning social media platform, Parler. earlier this month, Ye announced on Parler that his Instagram account had been locked out for an additional 30 days. He said the suspension came after he posted a screenshot of a private message to Def Jam Records founder Russell Simmons, in which Ye said he wanted “you know who” to have better contracts and business practices.” I have to get Jewish business people to make contracts fair or die trying,” Ye wrote in his message.
