Jidu officials recently revealed that Jidu ROBO-02 will be officially released in 2024. The new car is internally codenamed “Venus” and is positioned as a pure electric coupe.
This new car was unveiled as the Jidu ROBO-02 at the 2022 Guangzhou Auto Show. The front face adopts a family-style design, which is very similar to the previously released Jidu 01.
Jidu ROBO-02 adopts a hidden door handle design commonly used in new energy vehicles and adopts 4 electric doors with silent suction doors, which can be opened in a variety of ways, including voice and Bluetooth. The overall shape of the car is relatively rounded, with smooth contours, and the hatchback design at the rear adds a bit of sportiness.
For reference, the Jidu 01 Max model is equipped with a rear-drive single motor with a maximum total output power of 200 kW and a maximum total output torque of 343 N·m. It is equipped with a 71.4 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery and has a CLTC operating range of 550 km; optional 100 kWh ternary lithium battery, CLTC operating mileage 720 km.
