iQOO is reportedly working on yet another iQOO Neo 7 series phone. To those who are unaware, the company launched the Dimensity 9000 Plus powered iQOO Neo 7 in October in China. Earlier this month, it unveiled the iQOO Neo 7 SE as the world’s first phone powered by the Dimensity 8200 chipset. The new Neo 7 series that is expected to soon debut in China is the iQOO Neo 7 Racing Edition.
Before the launch of the iQOO Neo 7 SE, there were reports that the brand is planning to launch the iQOO Neo 7s with the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 onboard. However, a new leak by tipster Digital Chat Station states that IQOO’s SD8+G1 phone will be called the iQOO Neo 7 Racing Edition.
The tipster further claimed that the Racing Edition model will be equipped with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal storage. He also claimed that it would feature a flat display.
Last month, a live shot of the alleged iQOO Neo 7 Racing Edition surfaced online, showing the phone with a flat display and a centred punch-hole. The image also shows that the device has 16GB of RAM, 8GB of virtual RAM, and 512GB of native storage.
The model number of the alleged Racing Edition is V2232A, which has already been certified by the 3C authority. The certification has revealed that the device may support 120W fast charging. It is likely that the device will debut in December in China.
