The iQOO 12 series of phones will be released on November 7. Before its official debut, Jia Jingdong, vice president of the Vivo brand, warmed up to this new product.
Jia Jingdong revealed that the iQOO 12 series phones will adopt a new appearance design language, be equipped with OriginOS 4 that supports self-developed large models, be equipped with the first self-developed e-sports chip Q1, and “greatly” improve imaging capabilities.
According to reports, the iQOO 12 series phones are equipped with the self-developed e-sports chip Q1 to achieve super-resolution and super-frame concurrency (achieving image super-resolution and ultra-high frame rate processing and output at the same time), and are equipped with a full-time four-zone cooling system, the official claims “Completely rewriting the industry upper limit of e-sports performance.”
In terms of imaging, the iQOO 12 series will use a 1/1.3-inch super outsole main camera that supports optical image stabilization, and there will also be “significant improvements” in the wide-angle lens and telephoto periscope lens. As for the imaging differentiation from the parent brand vivo, Jia Jingdong said that the cooperation between vivo and Zeiss is based on “professional imaging and humanistic joy”; the core appeal of the iQOO 12 series’ imaging capabilities is the “second-speed pursuit and exploration of the unknown” of e-sports culture. An extension of the camera is a stable capture of the entire scene and at all focal lengths.
In terms of appearance, the iQOO12 series will still launch the “Legendary Edition” in cooperation with BMW Racing. It adopts an oval lens module design, which the official calls the “Wanli Porthole”, and adds a “dial scale” around the module.
At present, the iQOO 12 series of phones has been confirmed to be the first batch to be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor.
