Just after a few days, the iQOO 10 series of smartphones will launch officially in China. The launch date is officially confirmed for July 19th, 2022. The series will include the vanilla iQOO 10 and high-end iQOO 10 Pro smartphone. The iQOO 10 Pro has previously been confirmed to feature a 200W fast-wired charging. Now, the device has been listed on the Geekbench certification.
iQOO 10 Pro listed on Geekbench
A Vivo smartphone with model number V2218A has been spotted on the Geekbench certification. It is reportedly no other than the upcoming iQOO 10 Pro. The smartphone also has the motherboard listed as “taro”. It has been worth mentioning that the “taro” is also the codename for Qualcomm’s latest platform and the 3.19Ghz peak frequency of the CPU confirms that it is none other than Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen1.
The device received a single-core score of 7,374 and a multi-core score of 17,142, according to the listing. But there’s a catch: whoever ran the Geekbench used Geekbench 4.0 rather than the most recent version, so we can’t really compare it to other devices or the iQOO 9 Pro itself. The score varies depending on the version because the testing method changes with each update. As a result, we can take the scores with a pinch of salt.
The listing further confirms that the device will boot up on Android 12 out of the box and there will be at least one variant with 12GB of RAM. Apart from this, the certification doesn’t throw much light on the specifications of the device. The iQOO 10 Pro is expected to feature a 120Hz Super AMOLED panel with curved edges and 2K QHD+ resolution. It is also said that it will have a triple rear camera setup with a 50-megapixels primary camera followed up by a secondary ultrawide and a tertiary telephoto lens.
