If you’ve experienced the Dynamic Island feature on both the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max models, then you may have noticed an interesting detail: when you swipe up on an app to send it to Dynamic Island, different swipe angles will have different display animations.
Cabel Sasser has tweeted about the discovery that if you take a different upward swipe angle, then the animation to enter the Dynamic island will adjust accordingly. That is, if the user swipes the app towards the top left corner, then the app will enter the Dynamic Island from the left side; a direct vertical swipe up will take them directly to the Dynamic Island, and a swipe up to the right will take them from the right side.
In the upcoming iOS 16 update, there may be some user-customizable settings. But all in all, it’s great to see Apple making bold design choices with Dynamic Island, even if there are still some flaws to be addressed.
