It’s been a long time since Apple unveiled its next budget iPhone SE, but plenty of rumors are still emerging, providing the industry with the latest updates on the successor. It is also reported that Apple will use an OLED screen on the iPhone SE 4, but it may lack ProMotion technology.

Thanks to the collaboration of AppleTrack and Shea, we have renders of the iPhone SE 4, which is based on several rumors. First, Apple is said to be increasing the display on its new lower-priced products, from the iPhone SE 3’s 4.7-inch panel to the iPhone SE 4’s 6.1-inch OLED screen. Unfortunately, since Apple expects this model to target a lower price, we suspect it won’t have ProMotion technology, but it’s still expected to share some of the iPhone 14’s aesthetics.

Unlike the iPhone 14, the iPhone SE 4 is said to be equipped with a USB-C port and a rear 48-megapixel camera. According to the renderings, this iPhone will continue to use a notch design, which will be Apple’s only future model to adopt this design, but it is not yet known whether it will support Face ID. One of the biggest changes is the Action button that debuted on the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max this year.

The iPhone SE 4 is said to feature an Action button, which suggests the iPhone SE 4 might not appear before 2024, but there are other reasons the iPhone SE 4 launch could be delayed, and that’s the high price of Qualcomm’s 5G modems. Using Qualcomm’s 5G baseband chips will impact iPhone SE 4 profitability as Apple renews its licensing agreement with the San Diego chip company and Apple’s own 5G modem development continues to face problems.
