In a video recently released by Apple, the company shared 10 tips for using the iPhone. These tips, which some new iPhone users may not have used before, can help customers make the most of their devices.
The video was released by Apple on Christmas Day of this year, and the entire video is less than 6 minutes long.
- Click and hold on to the subject in a photo in the Photos app on iOS 16, and you can key the subject out of the photo and put it into another app.
- iOS 16’s new lock screen allows users to customize different elements, including time and date colors and styles, add widgets, and more. The video describes switching between different lock screen wallpaper styles. (Thanks to the enthusiastic users who pointed out the comments)
Within Settings->Wi-Fi, opening a saved Wi-Fi access point allows you to copy and paste its password. The video shows how to view the Wi-Fi cleartext password. 4.
- If you often write the same thing over and over again, like your email or address, you can create a text replacement in Settings-> General-> Keyboard-> Text Replacement.
- If your battery is low or you want to save some battery life if you can’t use the charger, you can add a low power mode in the Control Center to make it easier to use. Go to “Settings” -> “Control Center” and add it to the “Included controls” list. 6.
If you want to share or move multiple photos to another app, just tap and hold a photo, move it out of the way, and then continue to tap other photos. Then you can drag and drop all your photos into other apps or places on iOS. 7.
- If you want to quickly open your camera, tap the Camera shortcut in the lower-right corner of the iPhone lock screen. The video explains how to quickly open the camera by swiping left on the lock screen. 8.
- In iOS 15 and later, you can now use Live Text to automatically translate text in the Camera app or in photos. In the Camera app, point the camera at some text, tap Live Text that appears in the upper-right corner, and then select Translate from the options that appear. This also works for photos that have already been taken in the Photos app.
- Using the Notes app, you can easily scan a piece of paper and create a digital copy of it. The Notes app will automatically crop and edit the image correctly so that the document looks clear and easy to read with no glare.
- In the Photos app, just tap the top edge of your iPhone to jump to the first photo in any particular library, album, or search result.
