During the Apple launch event, the company brought to the stage the new iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. Unlike the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus these devices come with real upgrades. Not only in design but also the camera ability on these devices see some improvement.
Instead of the notch, Apple brings what they call Dynamic Island to the screen. This new cutout is a blend of the notch and the more common centre punch hole on Android devices. The manufacturer also adds some software features to this cutout to make it more attractive to its users.
When it comes to the camera ability of the Pro and Pro Max, both come with a 48MP main camera sensor. This upgrade comes after years of Apple sticking to a 12MP sensor on its main camera. Let us now take a look at the basic specifications of these devices.

So, this device comes with some design adjustments to its predecessor, like a slightly larger camera cutout. The screen also gets a new cutout style which houses the selfie camera along with the face ID scanner. Its major changes come with the actual specifications.

But, overall, the company did well to stick to the overall build that they have made use of for the past two generations of the iPhone.

There are some adjustments in features and software that the new iPhone Pro models come with. One of such adjustments in software helps Dynamic Island become a feature of its own. Asides from holding the selfie camera and Face ID sensor, it can as well tell what app is in use at the moment.
The new iPhone Series also come with a feature that Huawei debuted with their Mate 50 Series, satellite connectivity. This helps users connect to a satellite in case there is a network outage around them. All four models also support crash detection, which sends an alert for help in any case of an accident involving a user of the new iPhone 14 Series.
But, Apple seems to be becoming more comfortable ripping things off their devices with recent launches. This time, iPhone 14’s sold in the US will not come with a SIM tray. The company is now relying on eSIMs for connectivity.
iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max price and availability
The new iPhone 14 Series will be available for purchase on September 9 and will ship on September 16. Available colours on the Pro models are Deep Purple, Gold, Silver, and Space Black. The company will launch more colour additions in the coming months.
For pricing, the Pro model starts at $999 for the 128GB option, $1099 for the 256GB option, $1299 for the 512GB option, and $1499 for the 1TB option. The Pro Max model ups the prices for each storage option, starting at $1099 for the 126GB option and reaching $1599 for the 1TB model. Both devices will be available on the company’s official store.
