iPadOS 16.2, which has officially not been released, maybe complete the iPad

Immediately after Apple’s WWDC developer conference in June this year, you upgraded to iOS 16 and iPadOS 16 Developer Preview for the devices you have on hand.

It turned out that not only were there not many new features, but all of them were bugs that affected the use of the device.

So after that, I vowed never to upgrade the Developer Preview system again.

But the day after Apple pushed out the official iPadOS 16.1, the iPadOS 16.2 Developer Preview came along.

But there is a reason to do so, because compared to iPadOS 16.1, iPadOS 16.2 might be the real iPadOS 16 complete.

I won’t go into the various features of iPadOS 16.1, but mainly there is an additional desk scheduling feature.

In simple terms, it is a tab-like interface on the left side of the screen, and you can switch applications quickly by clicking it.

Some people think this feature is useless and takes up screen space, but I personally still like this feature, as long as you can click to switch applications, fast and efficient.

And some applications also support adaptive size, such as NetEase cloud music, you can only leave half of the space for the left tab, you can also “eat” the bottom of the Dock bar and so on, or more flexible.

But other than that, the other pies drawn at the developer conference were not eaten.

Finally, five months later, Apple slowly released a developer preview version of iPadOS 16.2, which is barely a complete iPadOS 16.

The first is the very attractive Freeform feature, Gozi gave a ” no edge to remember ” Chinese translation, so to speak, is the harmonic plus Xin Daya.

This feature is, in simple terms, almost a mega multiplayer collaborative notepad.

You can write, type, add pictures and videos, add files and links, and everything else on Infinity Notes.

After trying it out, you can indeed put everything on it and it works more smoothly.

Pictures and videos can be resized at any time, so it’s not too difficult to get started.

Added PDF files and links can also be recognized, and will automatically jump to the browser after clicking on the link.

But at this point, you don’t have to feel the hassle of jumping back and forth to the interface, because now there is a desktop scheduler, just click it to go back to Infinity Notes.

This one-and-done productivity experience is the real iPadOS 16, right?

I also tried to see if Infinity Notes is really ” infinity”. Every time I dragged the text to the corner, the page of this Kanban board would automatically expand another circle, and so on and so forth, resulting in a larger and larger page.

So to a certain extent, if your team is designing a large and complex project, you can pile up all the materials you can use because the Infinity Note can really keep expanding.

But here’s another retarded bug, I found that I couldn’t share the board with other people. If I select share directly, it shows an error.

If you long-press on Kanban and select Share, you can send a link to your contact via iMessage, but the link can’t be created at all.

I’ve been using it for half a day, but it turns out that TM is a stand-alone infinity memory. Although it is good for one person to use it, it really needs more than one person to use it online in order to make the most of it.

If you’ve heard of this, you should fix the bug.

By the way, Infinity Notes is also available on iPhone and Mac computers, but I think it is suitable for use on iPad, the phone screen size is a bit difficult to use this thing, and Mac can not touch the screen.

In addition, iPadOS 16.2 also supports the use of external monitors in front of the desk schedule.

This is a feature that was cut in 16.1, probably because the bugs in 16.0 were too serious, and the rush to delegate front-of-house scheduling to the A12X and A12Z processor iPad Pro led to it being cut first, and then installed back when there was time.

Although the external display now supports front-of-house scheduling, this feature is currently only supported by the M1 and M2 iPad Pro.

There is a saying that it is now unclear whether these are knife methods, or the fruit is simply too late to make adaptations.

However, according to the table in front of the scheduling ” devolution ” to other iPad Pro situations, this function after the second devolution is entirely possible.

There is also a feature that we do not perceive as strong, but may be useful in the follow-up — the update support for the Home App architecture.

It’s actually a pie. At WWDC22, Apple said it would provide updated support for the smart home standard Matter, and now that update is finally here.

Simply put, the update will make it easier and more efficient to use home apps and HomeKit accessories, and support more home products.

Hmm. My rating is not as good as Mi Home.

And finally, an epic update was discovered… the system version on the software update screen will finally be enlarged and bolded!

Overall, iPadOS 16.2 is finally considered a few months ago at the developer conference was above the pie to do out, the overall experience is not bad, but still a lot of bugs, fruit brother continue to work hard ow.

Finally, I still want to say that if you want to upgrade the developer preview system, you must think twice before you do it, and do a good job of backup.

Unless you are willing to be like me and the editorial team, who have a bunch of bugs to work with every day.
