Intel partnership with Siru Innovations

On the 3rd of May Intel announced its partnership with Siru Innovations, the Siru team will now work closely with the Intel Graphics Team. This partnership will help to grow the graphics IP and software services of Intel. To better understand this partnership let us take a quick look at Siru Innovations and what they do.

Siru Innovations is a Finnish high-tech company that came into existence in 2011. With over 20 years of experience, the team at Siru Innovations was able to develop its own graphics IP, Software-defined radio, and industrial touch screen interfaces and provide professional services for the software industry. Their line of specialization involves not only application-specific integrated circuits (ASIC) but also field-programmable gate array (FPGA). With their level of experience in the graphics and SoC business, they can be an asset to Intel.

What this Siru Innovations partnership means for Intel and it’s GPU performance

Siru as a company has a reputation in the business of graphics IP and software services. Their rich collection of achievements makes them an ideal partner to collaborate with Intel and take its GPU capabilities to the next level. In terms of this collaboration, what is in store for Intel service consumers?

Intel’s business is currently facing a lot of competition from rivals. Not only are its chip sales in trouble, but also its name in the SoC industry. With the launch of new chips from the likes of NvidiaTSMCSamsungQualcomm, etc, the business of Intel needs to innovate to stay on top. Boosting the GPU performance of its chips might make its business become more relevant to gadget producers.

Adding more power to the GPU will make Intel chips more powerful and faster than already existing chips. This is where Siru stands to help grow Intel’s processor business. We hope to soon see a processor co-developed by Intel and Siru Innovations!
