Intel will soon launch Arc A770/A750 desktop GPU against RTX 3060 and RX 6600

In a recent interview with Digital Foundry and PC Games Hardware, Tom Peterson and Ryan Shrout from Intel’s graphics marketing team went on to share more details such as the SKUs, performance, pricing, and release window for the Arc 7 series graphics cards. First, it was officially confirmed that the Arc A770 will be offered in both 8 / 16GB memory capacities — confirming earlier rumors.

Intel set to launch Arc 7 Series desktop graphics later this month

Secondly, Intel has made it clear that its high-end Arc A770 SKU will have performance somewhere between the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 and RTX 3060 Ti — meaning it can compete with AMD’s Radeon RX 6600 series.

In addition, despite not being able to control the manufacturing costs of the Arc Alchemist GPU, the company was able to secure pricing for the end consumer — presumably in the $300-$400 (~2080-2774 RMB) range.

Considering that the red and green GPU products are dropping in price, it is obvious that the blue factory, which has not been able to catch up with the hot period of the market, has to face more competitive pressure.

Even so, Intel still hopes to attract potential consumers to buy through XeSS oversampling technology, AV1 codec, and better optical tracking experience.

However, Intel has again hinted at the relatively limited availability of Arc 7 Series uniques, with Germany considered to be one of the main target markets. Consumers will be able to choose between public (limited) and custom designs, but there is no official guarantee that market demand will be met.

Additionally, Intel talks about why the Arc Alchemist GPU relies so heavily on the Resizable-Bar feature, especially since disabling it can result in about a 40% loss in overall performance — so make sure your PC supports Re-BAR enabled before you buy.

On the driver side, Intel claims it is working closely with developers and engineers to fine-tune the performance of Arc A-series graphics cards across games, APIs and applications.

Finally, the company’s Arc Alchemist lineup will include the Arc A770 with a “full-blooded” version of the ACM-G10 GPU core.

"The card has 32 Xe-Core and 256-bit bus bit width, optional 16/8GB memory capacity, thermal design power consumption (TDP) of 225W.

The product is benchmarked against the RTX 3060 Ti, and in some games is even comparable to the RTX 3070, and is expected to be priced between $349~$399 (about 2420~2767 RMB)."

As for the Arc A750, it comes with a non-full-blooded version of the ACM-G10 GPU core.

"The card features 32 Xe-Core / 3072 ALU / 24 optical tracking units with 256-bit @ 8GB GDDR6 memory and a TDP of 225W.

The product is benchmarked against the RTX 3060, with reference performance numbers 17% ahead in some modern games, and is expected to be priced between $279~$329 (1935~2281 RMB)."
