Intel released new driver to fix the video memory of ARC A770 16GB graphics card

Many users reported that their Intel ARC A770 limited edition graphics card (16GB video memory) did not reach the advertised 17.5 Gbps rate, and the frequency of video memory was reduced.

Now, this issue has an official fix from Intel. In the latest ARC Beta driver, Intel acknowledged this problem and released a patch, which seems to be a driver problem.

Officials at Intel confirmed that the issue was “their fault,” and with the newly implemented validation, no more such issues are expected in the future.

The Intel ARC A770 graphics card has two versions of 16GB and 8GB of video memory, the former has a higher video memory frequency up to 17.5 Gbps, and the latter is 16 Gbps.

But multiple users reported that their Intel ARC A770 16GB graphics card was only 16 Gbps, down to the same level as the 8GB version. The information in GPU-Z shows that the memory frequency has dropped from 2187MHz to 2000MHz.
