Intel 13 Generation Core Release Time Determined Before and After Two Waves

The Intel 13 generation Core (desktop version) various exposures, leaks, and the final release process has been completely finalized, and the 11/12 generation Core is similar or in two sets. The first wave is the K-series processor, the Z790 motherboard chipset. On September 28 (the same time in the United States below) the Intel 2022 Innovation Conference officially released, performance unblocked, but the official sale to wait until October 17-20, the 41st week.

The first K series models we have seen are the 8 large 16 small 24 cores 32 threads i9-13900K/KF, 8 large 8 small 16 cores 24 threads i3-12700K/KF, 6 large 8 small 14 cores 20 threads i5-13600K/KF.

In the past, it was only the K series that debuted, but it looks like the KF series without cores will also be synchronized this time.

The second wave is non-K series processors, H770/B760 motherboard chipsets.

Early next year, on January 5, CES 2023 conference was officially released, unblocked, about 1.5 months after the launch of the sale.

The H710 chipset is not available and the entry-level continues to be taken up by the H610.

It can be confirmed that the existing 600 series motherboards are compatible with the 13th generation Core, in turn, the new 700 series motherboards are also compatible with the 12th generation Core, they are compatible with support DDR4, DDR5 memory, but it is expected that the 700 series motherboards will support more DDR5.

In addition, the 13th generation Core still supports 16 PCIe 5.0 bus, 4 PCIe 4.0 bus, and DDR5 memory support frequency upgrade from 4800MHz to 5600MHz.

In contrast, AMD Zen4 architecture of the Dragon 7000 series in addition to the previous official announcement information, exposure is very little, the exact performance is still a mystery, and the release time is also difficult to determine, it is said to be announced in mid-September, October listing, almost synchronized with the first wave of 13-generation Core.

PS: According to the usual practice, the 13th generation Core mobile version will also be born at CES 2023, when there will be the Rex 7000H/U series.
