Infineon to cooperate with REE Automotive to promote green mobility

According to foreign media reports, Infineon, a supplier of automotive semiconductor solutions, will cooperate with REE Automotive, an Israeli automotive technology company, to jointly promote the development of the green and smart travel industry.

According to reports, the REE modular electric vehicle platform developed by REE Automotive has laid the foundation for the development of self-driving taxis, commercial trucks, electric passenger shuttles and other types of electric vehicles.

In addition to Infineon, REE Automotive has established partnerships with Toyota subsidiary Hino, American Axle, Canadian supplier Magna, French autonomous shuttle maker Navya, and EAVX, a newly formed subsidiary of US commercial vehicle bodybuilder JP Poindexter. Partnerships.

Infineon was officially established in Munich, Germany on April 1, 1999. It is one of the semiconductor companies. Its predecessor was the semiconductor division of Siemens Group. It became independent in 1999 and went public in 2000.

The company is at the heart of the automotive industry’s transition to green mobility and works with a wide range of established Tier 1 automakers, original equipment manufacturers and upstarts.

In October this year, Infineon and VinFast, Vietnam’s first global manufacturer of smart electric vehicles, announced an expanded partnership. The two companies will establish a joint application competence center (VinFast-Infineon Competence Center, VICC) in Hanoi (Hanoi) focused on electric vehicles, which will help VinFast develop solutions for future smart vehicles.
