Infineon acquires startup Industrial Analytics to enhance artificial intelligence analytics services for industrial equipment

Infineon Technologies has acquired Industrial Analytics, a Berlin-based startup, Infineon will therefore strengthen its artificial intelligence software and services business for predictive analytics related to machinery and industrial equipment, according to an announcement on Infineon’s website on August 11, local time.

The announcement states that Infineon will acquire 100% of the company’s shares, but both parties have agreed not to disclose the amount of the transaction.

Peter Wawer, President of Infineon’s Industrial Power Control business unit, said, “Industrial Analytics has outstanding expertise in using artificial intelligence for predictive analysis of industrial machinery and equipment. Together we intend to expand Industrial Analytics’ business and provide Infineon’s industrial customers with new artificial intelligence solutions to strengthen our semiconductor portfolio.”
