Foreign repair team iFixit recently shared a new video in the form of a short video in YouTube Shorts, disassembling the 2023 Mac Studio.
iFixit says that aside from the CPU upgrade to M2 Max or M2 Ultra processors, the internals, heat sink, power supply circuitry, and more remain essentially the same design, saying “there is no way to effectively differentiate it from its predecessor.
iFixit found that Apple used the same heat sink and power supply, and there’s not much to be concerned about throughout the process. iFixit said during the teardown that the internal design is modular, so while users can remove the pre-installed modules, they can’t upgrade the storage on their own.
