At the 2023 Media Technology Day held at the Youngnyeong R&D Center in Gyeonggi-do, Hyundai Mobis showcased its technological prowess in the infotainment display market. The company’s 34-inch rotating display and scrolling display are billed as “both world firsts,” and both can change size depending on the driving situation. For example, during driving, the screen can be transformed into a smaller navigation mode, and during autonomous driving or parking, the screen can be transformed into a larger mode again, allowing users to watch content on a large screen.

The media also revealed that Hyundai Mobis has invested more than 1 trillion won in R&D every year for the past three years. The company has developed a holographic augmented reality head-up display (AR-HED) using proprietary technology that can realize various information such as road guidance and lane changes as AR while driving.

It is noticed that the “Top 100 Global Auto Parts Industry” report released by “Automotive News” showed that South Korea’s Hyundai Mobis ranked sixth on the list, and the top five manufacturers were Germany’s Bosch, Nippon Electric’s Garment, ZF of Germany, Magna International of Canada, Ningde Times of China.

A total of 13 companies from China were included in the “Top 100 Global Auto Parts Industry”, and other countries: 22 companies from Japan; 18 companies from the United States; 15 companies from Germany; and 11 companies from South Korea.
