According to the Information, Humane, a company founded by two former Apple design and engineering team executives, will release its first wearable device – Ai Pin on November 9.
According to reports, this is a clothing-based wearable device with no screen and about the size of a cookie. The device will also feature a camera, a microphone and speakers, as well as various sensors and laser projectors, and users can attach it to their clothing with magnets.
The device will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon chip and is claimed to have smartphone-level speeds, connectivity, camera capabilities and security.
In terms of intelligence, the device has a built-in system that integrates “proprietary software and OpenAI’s ChatGPT.” Previously, the product description had a statement of “built-in GPT-4”, but it was later deleted. In addition, the product is equipped with a privacy indicator light that lights up when the camera, microphone or input sensor is used.
The device was unveiled at the TED conference in April, where Humane’s co-founders demonstrated it on stage. He uses the device as a voice assistant and projects a small screen onto his palm. However, the details of this device are still unknown.
