On April 28, Huawei will be holding a mega launch event in China. The company recently confirmed that it will be announcing the Huawei Mate Xs 2 foldable phone, the Band 7 fitness tracker, and the Smart Screen V Pro at the upcoming event. Today, the brand confirmed that it will be announcing the Watch GT 3 Pro smartwatch at the same event.

The Watch GT 3 Pro teaser video, which confirms its launch date, seems to show that the smartwatch will work fine even if it is submerged under deep waters of around 30 meters. Hence, it can be possibly while deep diving. In addition, it is speculated that the company may also announce a special Porsche variant for the smartwatch.

Unfortunately, there is no information available on the specifications of the Watch GT 3 Pro. The moniker of the device suggests that it will be an advanced version of the existing Watch GT 3, which was announced in October 2021.

While the rumor mill is silent on the specs of the Watch GT 3 Pro, it has recently revealed key information about the Huawei Band 7 fitness band. It is speculated that the device measures less than 1cm in thickness and weighs around 16 grams.

The fitness tracker is expected to carry support for 96 sports modes and will come with some sensors for monitoring health. It is also expected to be able to make contactless payments through WeChat and a smart screen.

In related news, the Huawei Mate Xs 2 foldable phone will sport an outward folding design. It is expected to arrive with some other features, such as a punch-hole screen, better durability, and a 50-megapixel triple camera unit. The device could be powered by the Snapdragon 888 4G or Kirin 9000 4G chipset. It may house a 4,500mAh battery with 66W fast charging. The device will run on HarmonyOS 2.0.1.
