Huawei P60/Pro gets 5G Case: Supports dual-mode SA/NSA bands

The Huawei P60 series went on sale on March 30 across all channels, and a special kit version that complements the 5G function module will also be available soon.

This 5G communication case brought by Digital Source Technology has already appeared on the official website,.

In fact, pricing at these third-party shops is not uniform, for example, the aforementioned Yixiang Tianye Telecom flagship shop is priced at RMB 640, while most shops are set at around RMB 580, with the cheapest one at RMB 575 and the most expensive one reaching RMB 759.

According to the report, this 5G communication case is equipped with a 1350Mhz UDX710 chip (Cortex-A55), supports FDD-LTE, TD-LTE and 5GNR (Sub-6) networks of three major carriers, supports dual-mode 5G SA / NSA bands, and uses a USB-C interface.

The case is made of PU and comes in a metallic grey colourway. It measures 167.5 x 77.8 x 13.8mm, has a large surface thickness of 3.2mm and weighs 53.5g.

The 5G communication case is very easy to use, the user will automatically pop up the pairing box after attaching the case to the phone, just follow the instructions and in a few simple steps, you can easily activate the eSIM service and enjoy the 5G internet experience.

It is worth mentioning that the case is deeply compatible with the Huawei P60/Pro, so the eSIM network signal of the main card and the 5G Communication Case will be fused in the phone’s signal bar, without causing any trouble between the two networks (the physical SIM card bundled with the eSIM needs to be used as the main card). In addition, you can turn on the 5G network at your leisure via the 5G switch on the phone.

Of course, it will take up the phone’s USB port for power, but it will also provide the user with another USB 2.0 charging port, support for OTG devices, digital headsets, connecting to a PC for data transfer, and also support for Huawei Super Fast Charging (5G residency cannot be turned on in charging scenarios, navigation scenarios, when the phone’s microphone is in use, or when the USB port is occupied).

Supported networks:

  • 5G-Sub 6, NSA + SA

Bands:

  • SA: N1, N3, N28, N41, N77, N78, N79
  • NSA: B3+N41, B3+N78, B3+N79, B1+N78, B1+N41, B39+N41, B39+N79, B41+N79, B5+N78, B8+N78
