At the Huawei Summer 2022 Smart Office launch event, the company announced the Huawei MatePad Pro 11-inch. This tablet redefines the design of previous Huawei tablets. In terms of specifications, it is also very impressive, as it combines the abilities of a tablet and a laptop. Let’s take a look at the specifications, features, and pricing of this new tablet from Huawei.

There are a few areas where the new MatePad Pro excels above the competition. One of such areas is in its thickness, it is only 5.9mm thick, making it the slimmest tablet on the market. It is also the first tablet in the world to have a TUV Rheinland global eye certification whilst delivering over 600 nits of brightness.

This tablet comes with two processor options, the performance model uses the Snapdragon 888 and the other uses the Snapdragon 870 SoC. The two models also come with different charging speeds, the performance model supports 66W and the other supports a 40W fast charge. There is an option to get the Wi-Fi-only model or a 4G telecom model.
In terms of design, the MatePad Pro has a punch hole display. This comes with slim bezels, ensuring wide viewing angles for the user. It also has magnets around it to hold its keyboard attachment and pen while in use. Its six speakers use Huawei sound to deliver top-notch sound to the surrounding environment.

This tablet is currently available for pre-order on Huawei’s official mall. One can purchase the tablet on its own or choose to add a smart magnetic keyboard and an M-Pen. This tablet is available in China and will launch in other locations within the year.
The price of this tablet starts at 3,499 Yuan (~$518) for the 8GB/128GB Wi-Fi model. The 256GB Wi-Fi variant will retail at 3,999 Yuan (~$592). These prices will get a buyer the Snapdragon 870 version of this tablet.
The pricing for the Snapdragon 888 Wi-Fi models is, 3,799 Yuan (~$562) for the 8GB/128GB storage variant. The 8GB/256GB Wi-Fi model retails for 4,299 Yuan (~$636) and the 12GB/512GB Wi-Fi models retails for 5,499 Yuan (~$813). The SIM variants come with different pricing from the Wi-Fi models and retail for 5,299 Yuan (~$784) for the 8GB/512GB. The 12GB/512GB SIM model comes at 6,299 Yuan (~$932).
Additional accessories with this tablet are the magnetic keyboard and M-Pen. These items retail at 799 Yuan (~$118) and 549 Yuan (~$81) respectively. Available colours on the MatePad Pro are Galaxy Blue, Crystal White, Obsidian Black, and Brocade White.
