In this regard, the digital blogger “factory manager is off students” said that the Mate 50 series is indeed designed in accordance with the 5G phone, the future P60 and Mate 60 and the new nova 20 series will also continue to do so, there will be no change.
However, the models that have been produced and released will not be upgraded with 5G later through the aftermarket because the PCB is incomplete and does not have the ability to be upgraded.
The blogger said that the reason for this design is because other models need it, and also Huawei wants to continue this design to lay the foundation for the future return of 5G.
The blogger also mentioned: “Huawei 5G will definitely come back in the future, just a matter of time.”
It is understood that at the Huawei All Connect Conference 2021 in October last year, Xu Zhijun, then chairman-in-office of Huawei, said when talking about the development of Huawei’s cell phone business, “Due to the U.S. sanctions, there is no chip, and it does face great challenges.”
But he stressed that Huawei will not give up on its cell phone business, nor will it sell it, and is working to get it back on track in due course. “We hope that consumers around the world, especially in China, will still be able to buy Huawei-branded 5G phones.”
