Huawei Mate 50 series officially opened for sale, priced from RMB 4999, thanks to the support of Beidou satellite messaging hardware, Mate 50 series is also the industry’s first public smartphone to support Beidou satellite messaging. Today, Huawei Terminal officially announced that it will recruit the public to test and verify Beidou satellite messages from September 21. Mate 50 series users can enter the “My Huawei” app, click “Beidou Public Test” on the home page, and select the “Sign Up” button below.

So how can I send BeiDou satellite messages? Users can enter the “Changlian” App, click on the BeiDou satellite message service number when there is no ground network service, select “New Message”, choose the contact person and fixed sending text, check the “Carry Location “Click “Send” to enter the star search process and send the message after completing the search.

According to the official notes, as BeiDou satellite messages provide mobile terminal hardware, they only support sending messages, not receiving, and they need to be used in an open, unobstructed environment. This means that users who receive BeiDou messages, even if they are also using the Mate 50 series, will not be able to directly reply to the message so that the user who sent it will receive it.

It is important to note that BeiDou satellite messages do currently only support outgoing content and cannot be interacted with by the recipient. This is due to the nature of BeiDou satellite messaging itself, not the inability of the Mate 50 series to do so.
