At the launch of the Huawei Mate 50 series, Yu Chengdong introduced the imaging system of Huawei Mate 50 series, the biggest change is equipped with “super light change camera”.

The Huawei Mate 50 features a triple-camera design on the rear, with a 50-megapixel ultra light-variable camera, a 13-megapixel ultra wide-angle camera, a 12-megapixel 5x light-variable telephoto camera, and a laser focus sensor.

The Huawei Mate 50 Pro features a 50-megapixel ultra-light zoom camera, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera, a 64-megapixel 3.5x optical zoom periscopic telephoto camera, and a laser focus sensor.

Both Huawei Mate 50 and 50 Pro’s 50 million main cameras is equipped with a high-precision ring magnetic field micro-controlled motor that supports 10-stop aperture adjustment from f1.4 to f4.0.

As shown above, there is a shallow depth of field and a background bokeh when taking a close shot of the subject at the F1.4 aperture. At a small aperture of F4.0, we can take a clear picture of the background of the subject as well.

With the addition of variable aperture, Huawei says the Mate 50 series camera can achieve sub-millimeter segmentation for more natural bokeh.

In addition, in good light scenes, the aperture can be adjusted to a smaller size to make the picture sharper.

Huawei said, Huawei through the construction of “light, machine, electricity, computing” four technical base, the formation of self-contained mobile imaging technology, the launch of the future of mobile imaging brand Huawei image XMAGE, the formation of a self-contained image style, to provide consumers around the world with a unique, extraordinary, beautiful mobile imaging experience.
