There are a few notable changes and adjustments on these devices to make them stand out from its Pro model. First is its screen which is flat unlike the curved screen on the Pro and RS models. It also drops off the notch screen design for a centre punch-hole that houses its selfie camera. Here are the basic specifications of this new flagship device from Huawei:

  • Screen: 6.7-inch OLED FHD+ screen supporting up to 90Hz refresh rate.
  • Processor: Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 4G processor.
  • Storage: 128GB/256GB/512GB ROM. For some reason, Huawei does not state the RAM on this device.
  • Main Camera: Triple setup with a 50MP super optical camera, 13MP ultrawide angle camera, and a 12MP periscope telephoto camera.
  • Front Camera: 13MP front-facing camera.
  • Battery: 4460mAh battery with 66W Super Fast charge.
  • Operating System: Harmony OS 3.0.
  • Biometrics: In-screen fingerprint sensor.

Just like the Mate 50 Pro, this device aims for top photography performance. It drops the megapixels on its periscope telephoto lens to 13MP as against the 64MP lens on the Pro model. There is also a slight reduction in the battery capacity on this device, asides from these things it promises to deliver top-notch performance just like the Mate 50 Pro.
