The Huawei FreeBud Pro2 will soon launch, as leaks have given away the specifications of the earbuds. This TWS earbud from Huawei will be a co-engineering marvel with French audio company Devialet. Images of this device accessory are already available, and it’d come with a similar design to its predecessor.
The FreeBud Pro makes use of one 11nm driver, but this gets an upgrade on the FreeBud Pro2. With the coming FreeBud, there will be two drivers to boost audio quality. The Huawei FreeBud Pro2 promises a deep base with frequencies ranging from 14 to 48,000 Hz.
It is also to come with Hi-Res audio under licence from the Japan Audio Society. Huawei also advertises the new FreeBud to have a “triple adaptive equalizer” which gives optimal playback. This works by simultaneously adjusting the volume, position, and sound coming from the FreeBuds speakers.
Huawei also did well to drop one of its signature features on the FreeBud Pro2, active noise cancellation. There are three stages of noise cancellation on these TWS earbuds, filtering up to 47 dB of unwanted sound. Audio quality from video calls with the FreeBud Pro2 promises to be exceptional thanks to its three microphones. There is also the presence of an AI algorithm which helps maintain top-notch audio quality.
With active noise cancellation, these earbuds offer 4 hours of music playback and an additional 2.5 hours without active noise cancellation. The case packs extra power that can charge the FreeBud Pro2, it lasts for 30 hours on a single charge. The design of each pod helps it sit perfectly in the ear and stays in place, helping to reduce its wobble.
Its water-resistant design keeps it safe from any water splash-induced damage. The pricing of this TWS earbud will start at 1,404 yuan (~€200). It should be available for purchase sometime within the month in all Huawei official stores.
