Huawei expects to pay a dividend of RMB 1.61/ share in 2022, an increase from the previous year

Xu Zhijun, Huawei’s rotating chairman, revealed at the end of last month that Huawei is expected to achieve sales revenue of 636.9 billion RMB for the whole year, and its operating results are in line with expectations.

According to the Science and Technology Board Daily, Huawei announced the latest dividend data internally today. The 2022 trade union virtual restricted stock dividend is expected to be RMB 1.61 per share, an increase from last year’s 1.58 RMB per share. After the dividend, the virtual restricted stock price is expected to The price is RMB 7.85 per share.

To put it simply, shareholding dividends are an important part of the income of Huawei employees. At present, Huawei employee compensation mainly includes three parts: salary, bonus and dividends.

Huawei’s stock price has been stable at around 7.85 RMB in recent years, and its dividend has also remained at around 1.58 RMB, which exceeds the dividend yield of 20% in proportion. Huawei will give a dividend ratio based on the actual situation of the company every year. The highest dividend was in 2010, with a dividend of 2.98 RMB per share, and the lowest dividend was in 2017, with a dividend of 1.02 RMB per share.

Reviewing 2021, Huawei’s overall operations were solid, achieving global sales revenue of RMB 636.8 billion and net profit of RMB 113.7 billion, an increase of 75.9% year-on-year. By resolution of the company’s internal authority, Huawei distributed dividends of RMB 61,403,559,073.76 to shareholders in 2021.

Huawei is internally financed and employee-owned, so the salary of Huawei employees consists of salary, bonus and stock dividends. Huawei took this way of financing, on the one hand, to reduce the company’s cash flow risk, on the other hand, to enhance the sense of belonging of employees, thus step by step to the height of today.

Currently, Huawei’s sole shareholder is Huawei Investment Holdings Co. Huawei Investment Holdings Limited, in turn, has two shareholders, of which Ren Zhengfei’s shareholding has shrunk to 0.84% or even lower, while the remaining shares are held by Huawei employees through Huawei Investment Holdings Limited’s labor union committee, and Huawei’s shareholding has reached 96,768 employees in 2018.
