HUAWEI CLOUD announced the release of CodeArts Repo, a code hosting service yesterday quality and efficiency.
It is learned from the data released by Huawei Cloud that Huawei Cloud CodeArts Repo now manages and protects 110 billion lines of codes in Huawei, supports 150,000 people in development operations, averages 100 million downloads per day, 1PB transmission traffic, and 300 million API calls, a system supports the code management and collaborative development of Huawei’s embedded, cloud, terminal, car and other types of products.
HUAWEI CLOUD said that it has deposited its internal code management capabilities accumulated over the years into the CodeArts Repo tool and released 6 major features:
Self-developed kernel to ensure code security, stable and efficient development;
Cover the main workflow based on Git to meet a variety of development scenarios;
Multi-form code inspection activities to improve code quality and transfer development experience;
Quality access control to ensure that each line of incoming code is Clean;
Record the ins and outs of the code, two-way traceability;
A variety of built-in templates ensure orderly development.
According to Huawei Cloud, CodeArts Repo technically breaks through the IO bandwidth limit of the underlying hardware, modifies the Git kernel to improve file download addressing efficiency, and applies multi-level caching to improve code download efficiency. In addition, HUAWEI CLOUD CodeArts Repo supports all workflows such as Git Flow, Gitlab Flow, and Github Flow.
