Huawei announced yesterday that it has joined ITU’s Partner2Connect digital alliance, committing to provide some 120 million people in remote areas in more than 80 countries around the world with the ability to connect to the digital society by 2025.

Huawei had earlier released that in 2025, with the improvement of ICT infrastructure, Huawei will make 500 million people can enjoy digital financial services and 500,000 people can enjoy inclusive education through the efforts of its partners.

Huawei further pledged to provide 10,000 training opportunities for ICT professionals in the next five years in Cambodia, ITU’s first P2C partner country, in cooperation with the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications and other government departments and universities.
